The Hippo Helper

The Therapeutic Riding Hippo-Helper is a versatile positioning device that helps stabilize riders, thereby allowing the therapist and side walkers to focus more effectively on the rider's needs. It provides a surface for weight-bearing that helps with trunk and head control as well as upper extremity use. The Hippo-Helper has been successfully used in PATH International (NARHA) approved riding centers and can be adjusted to suit the needs of different riders. The Hippo-Helper also comes with a bean bag attachment to accommodate the horse's withers. It is important to note that the Hippo-Helper is not intended to be used as a gait belt or walker belt by side-walkers, and it should not be attached to the horse or the saddle.
